Exciting News! Project SOAR is on AIR
Our Child Service Director, Ms Angela Man, was featured in a live interview on RTHK Radio 3’s Backchat this Monday, 27 July 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 am, hosted by Philip Wong and Rainbow Leung.podcasts.
During the segment, she introduced Project SOAR — Support, Overcome, Achieve, Rise — a play therapy–based training and intervention programme that helps children with special educational needs (SEN) build confidence, resilience, and essential life skills through structured, child-centred play.
Ms Man also highlighted our Train the Trainer Programme, which equips participants with the practical skills and therapeutic knowledge to deliver play-based interventions effectively. Participants learn how to create supportive play environments, observe children’s emotional expressions, and apply evidence-based techniques to foster growth and healing.
She further shared about our Emotional and Social Skills Group, run by trained group facilitators, which provides a safe, nurturing space for children to explore feelings, develop empathy, improve communication, and build positive peer relationships through guided play activities.
The conversation offered valuable insights into the challenges faced by children with SEN, the importance of play therapy and parenting, and how parents and caregivers can support children’s growth and development.
It was a meaningful discussion about how care, play, and consistent support can help children thrive.
